Erdoğan Zümrütoğlu

Erdoğan Zümrütoğlu is a Turkish painter born in Konya on November 13, 1970. In 1990, he began his studies at the Painting Department of Dokuz Eylül University's Faculty of Fine Arts, interrupting his education to conduct professional studies for two years in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. He completed his education in 1996 and subsequently moved to Berlin. ​ Zümrütoğlu adopts an abstract expressionist approach in his art, exploring existential themes. His works utilize imagery that reflects human inner anxieties and mental pollution. His art carries influences from German expressionists and invites the viewer on a psychological journey. ​
