Santiago Parra

Santiago Parra is a contemporary artist born in 1986 in Bogotá, Colombia. He began his art education at Universidad de los Andes and later pursued Fine Arts at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. ​ Parra is renowned for his large-scale, black-and-white, highly expressive abstract paintings. His works often feature bold black lines reminiscent of calligraphy, harmonizing spontaneity and contemplation, shaped by movement, strength, gravity, and the artist's skill. ​ Exploring the expressive possibilities of abstract forms, Parra redefines abstract structures with bold sculptural brushstrokes. ​ His works have been exhibited in cities such as London, Bogotá, Santiago, Miami, and Lisbon, and are part of significant collections like the Pérez Art Museum Miami. ​
