Hernan Bas

Hernan Bas is an American artist born in 1978 in Miami, Florida. He completed his art education at the New World School of the Arts in Miami in 1996. His works are often inspired by the Aesthetic and Decadent writers of the 19th century, particularly Oscar Wilde and Joris-Karl Huysmans. His art explores themes such as adolescent adventures, the supernatural, classical poetry, religious stories, mythology, and literature. Bas currently lives and works in both Miami and Detroit.
