Haluk Akakçe (July 4, 1970, Ankara – October 9, 2023, Istanbul) was a prominent Turkish painter and interior architect in contemporary Turkish art. Born in Ankara, Akakçe completed his primary, secondary, and high school education before graduating from Bilkent University's Interior Architecture Department in 1993. He continued his studies at the postgraduate level in London, attending the Royal Continuing his art career in the United States and the United Kingdom, Akakçe held his first solo exhibition in Chicago in 1997. Known for reflecting a sense of space and infinite time in his works, Akakçe was recognized for his unique style in the contemporary art world. After battling lung cancer for some time, the artist passed away at the age of 53 in his Istanbul Nişantaşı home on October 9, 2023. ​
