Fong Chung-Ray
Fong Chung-Ray (born 1933) is a prominent figure in modern Chinese painting. Born in Henan, China, he moved to Taiwan in 1949. In Taiwan, he continued his artistic pursuits and co-founded the "Four Seas Artists Association" with Hu Chi-Chung in 1958. He joined the "Fifth Moon Painting Society" in 1961 at the invitation of Liu Guosong. His art combines traditional Chinese painting techniques with abstract expressions. He relocated to the United States in 1975 and currently resides in San Francisco.
