Ernesto Burgos

Ernesto Burgos was born in 1979 in Santa Clara, California, and raised in Viña del Mar, Chile. He currently lives and works in New York City. He earned his BFA from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco in 2004 and his MFA from New York University in 2008. In his art, he utilizes commercial materials such as cardboard, fiberglass, and resin to create organic forms, exploring both the physical and illusory spaces of abstraction. In recent years, he has held solo exhibitions at prestigious galleries including Galerie Nordenhake (Stockholm, 2024), The Sunday Painter (London, 2023), and Parrasch Heijnen (Los Angeles, 2023).
