Daniel Arsham
Daniel Arsham, born in 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in Miami, Florida, is an American interdisciplinary artist known for his unique blend of art, architecture, and performance. He attended the Cooper Union in New York City, where he received the Gelman Trust Fellowship Award in 2003. Arsham's work spans various mediums, including sculpture, architecture, drawing, and film. He refers to his creations as "future relics of the present," transforming everyday objects and architectural elements into enigmatic artifacts that evoke a sense of mythical contemporary archaeology. In 2007, Arsham co-founded Snarkitecture with Alex Mustonen, collaborating on innovative projects that challenge traditional boundaries between art and architecture. His work has been exhibited in renowned institutions worldwide, including the Pérez Art Museum in Miami and the Athens Biennale, reflecting his significant impact on contemporary art.
