Cy Twombly
Cy Twombly (April 25, 1928 – July 5, 2011) was an American painter, sculptor, and photographer recognized as one of the leading figures in contemporary American art. Born in Lexington, Virginia, Twombly began engaging with art at an early age and pursued his education at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
