Arnaldo Pomodoro
Arnaldo Pomodoro, born on June 23, 1926, in Morciano di Romagna, Italy, is a renowned sculptor. He spent his childhood and education in Pesaro and has lived and worked in Milan since 1954. In the 1950s, Pomodoro's works were high-reliefs featuring a unique "writing" previously unseen in sculpture, interpreted variably by critics. His brother, Giò Pomodoro (1930–2002), was also a notable sculptor. One of Pomodoro's most famous pieces, "Sphere Within Sphere," is part of prestigious collections such as the Vatican Museums, Trinity College Dublin, the United Nations Headquarters, and Rockefeller University in New York.
