Anselm Reyle
Anselm Reyle, born in 1970 in Tübingen, Germany, is a Berlin-based artist renowned for his abstract paintings and found-object sculptures. He began his artistic journey at the State Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe. In 1997, he moved to Berlin, where he established a studio collaboration with artists John Bock, Dieter Detzner, Berta Fischer, and Michel Majerus. From 1999 to 2001, Reyle was involved in artist cooperative galleries such as "Andersen's Wohnung" and "Montparnasse." He has also served as a guest professor at institutions including the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Karlsruhe, Universität der Künste in Berlin, and HFBK Hamburg. Since 2009, he has held a professorship in Painting and Drawing at HFBK Hamburg. Reyle's works are part of significant collections, including the Tate Gallery, Leeds Art Gallery, and Bristol Museum. In 2017, he presented a solo exhibition titled "Eight Miles High" at König Galerie in Berlin.
