Anette Harboe Flensburg, born on January 27, 1961, in Denmark, is an artist who combines photography and painting, often depicting spaces. She studied visual communication at the School of Art and Design in Kolding and later pursued philosophy at the University of Copenhagen. ​ In her work, she utilizes a blend of photography and painting, creating images that invite viewers into contemplative and immersive environments. Her artistic practice is meticulous and slow, involving the study of architectural spaces that are almost always devoid of human presence. ​ In 2003, she gained wider recognition by winning the second prize at the Carnegie Art Award for a series titled 'Reception Rooms'. She has also completed significant commissions, including works for the Supreme Court and the Copenhagen City Court. ​
