Alev Ebüzziya Siesbye, born on August 30, 1938, in Istanbul, is an internationally acclaimed ceramic artist. Between 1956 and 1958, she studied sculpture at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts and participated in ceramic workshops under Füreya Koral. Throughout her career, she has worked at a ceramic factory in Höhr-Grenzhausen and the Eczacıbaşı Art Studio in Istanbul. In 1963, she began creating original designs for the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory and established her own studio in 1969. She relocated to Paris in 1987, where she continues her work. Her artworks are featured in prominent museum collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Musée Bellerive in Zurich, Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York, and the State Art and Sculpture Museum in Ankara.
