Albert Oehlen
Albert Oehlen, born on September 17, 1954, in Krefeld, Germany, is a German painter, installation artist, and musician. He emerged as a prominent figure in the 1980s within the Neo-Expressionist and Neue Wilde movements. Oehlen studied Fine Arts under Sigmar Polke at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg from 1977 to 1981. Oehlen's work combines abstract and conceptual approaches, featuring large-scale canvases and computer-generated images. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with esteemed galleries such as Max Hetzler and Gagosian, and his artworks have been exhibited in museums worldwide.
