ZEYNEP YAZICI
Born in 1977, Zeynep Yazıcı was born in Ankara and graduated from the Department of Architecture at Niğde University. Since 2004, she has been continuing her painting works professionally. Having had the opportunity to live in different geographies of the world, the artist has contributed to the development of the visual language in her production through these experiences. In Yazıcı’s works, the concepts of human, nature, and freedom stand out. The artist considers painting not only as a formal field of production, but as an emotional and intellectual form of expression. In her compositions, the balance between form and color takes shape within a natural and fluid structure. The use of color and the construction of the surface aim to establish a direct contact with the viewer. In her works, where an intuitive atmosphere dominates rather than a clear narrative, space is allowed for the viewer to establish a relationship with the work through their own experience. Giving importance to thematic unity, Yazıcı focuses on the effect she aims to achieve during the production process. Her works present a calm yet deep perspective on the relationship of the individual with life and with the environment.
