YİĞİT DÜNDAR

Born in Samsun in 1987, Yiğit Dündar is an artist who continues his artistic production with a figurative and realistic approach. After receiving his basic art education in various studios, he graduated from the Architecture Department of Yeditepe University and then continued his master's education in Plastic Arts. He has received various awards in the field of painting and has participated in many solo and group exhibitions. The figure occupies a central position in Dündar's work. He treats the human body not only as a physical entity but also as an area of emotional expression. Within his open compositional approach, fabrics wrapped around the figure point to basic human needs such as protection, warmth, and love. While addressing the human desire to transcend physical and spiritual boundaries, the artist also touches upon the relationship humans establish with the objects they produce and their sense of belonging. His minimalist compositional approach and controlled use of light are among the key elements that reinforce the emotion he aims to evoke in the viewer.
