TAYLAN MİNTAŞ

Born in 1987, Taylan Mintaş graduated from the Painting Teaching Program of the Department of Fine Arts Education at Marmara University and is an interdisciplinary artist. In his work, he focuses on the concepts of storytelling, memory, and identity. Since 2008, the artist has been closely involved with cinema and has produced short films and documentaries. The documentary Sessizliğin Kardeşleri, directed by the artist, has been screened at national and international festivals. He has also presented his works together in his solo exhibitions where he brought different disciplines together. In Mintaş’s works, the relationship between individual memory and social reality holds an important place. Starting from personal stories, the artist constructs a layered expression on human, space, and identity. In his works where he uses different techniques together, he aims to establish a strong connection between narrative and image. Taylan Mintaş, who continues his work in Istanbul, continues his production with an approach established between different disciplines.
