Employing alternative methods in his practice, Erkut conveys concepts through his unique metaphors. Here, his identities as a painter, designer, advertiser, and illustrator come into play, forming a significant element of his distinctive style that merges various approaches. He primarily creates his works using collected waste materials. Items such as wood, cardboard, drawers, suitcases, cabinet doors, and boxes serve as the foundation of his creations. For him, experimentation symbolizes a response to the call of freedom. The textures of different lives embedded in these found objects further enrich the narratives of his art.
