Artist Erkut Terliksiz, who embraces many forms of art, presented his painting exhibition titled “DOKİ DOKİ” to the appreciation of art lovers.

Erkut Terliksiz presented his painting exhibition titled “DOKİ – DOKİ”, curated by Zeynep Öztürk, to art lovers at DG Art Project. Terliksiz, who says, “The first rule of painting is that there are no rules,” expresses intense emotions such as excitement, fear, love, and anxiety in his works through figures that communicate in an energetic and universal language, sparking curiosity in viewers. The figures, reminiscent of cartoon characters, create a three-dimensional effect with their colors and rhythms and draw viewers into the hidden stories they contain. Painting impulsively without planning or boundaries, according to his changing moods, the artist returns to Istanbul with a solo exhibition after many successful shows abroad. The works on display carry traces that both reference Japanese anime culture and offer an emotional intensity that resonates with all viewers. The exhibition’s title, “DOKİ – DOKİ,” is derived from the Japanese onomatopoeia describing the rapid beating of the heart. Curated by Zeynep Öztürk, the “DOKİ – DOKİ” exhibition can be visited at DG Art Project until November 28, 2024.
